How to dress up 2013 GT stock wheels
I am awaiting delivery of a Black 2013 GT with stock wheels. For now I want to keep the stock wheels.
What is the best wax/polish/dressing that I can use to make the stock wheels look good?
Also, what have you been using to dress up the tires?

I like using Colinite 845 for my wheels. it is a very durable wax and can hold up well. it is inexpensive at about $15 a bottle and can be found locally in some stores. Not usually big chain stores.
As for tires i use CarPro PERL cut at 50/50 water to product to give more of a satin low gloss look..I HATE shiny tires.
if you really wanna step up protection. You could coat them with one of the permanent nano coatings like CQuartz or Opti-coat 2.0

Probably just need to wash the rims and then dress the tires... Nothing special since the stock wheels are just painted... If they were machined or aftermarket then maybe extra care would be warranted.
Also, just don't hit the curbs...

Why wouldnt you want to protect your wheels? The paint on them can be damaged just as easily as paint on your car by brake dust. Applying some form of protection will help release dirt easier and help with pitting from the brake dust since there is a slick barrier on there that it cant stick to as well.

Just stay away from ANYTHING that is silicone-based...you don't want that spraying off your tires and onto your paint.

I wouldnt use those hard brushes either on them.
Had a friend who has the CS/GT v6 black ones and they seem to scratch real easy.
I would just use a microfiber on them if you need to wipe down after spraying them with soap and water.

Stock Wheels- Dressing them up
So the only answer I have gotten is Colinite 845. Is it a wax or a polish?
I would like to get the best stuff I can for my wheels. I have been using a was wax for years and that is not good enough.
Any other ideas?

845 is a Wax. What wax have you been using. If your using some crappy turtle wax or something of that nature thats why you didnt like the results. Colinite is something that last and offers good protection. If you want the BEST..then optimum Opti-coat the wheels. its a permanent layer that will not be affected by brake dust. it acts as its a 2nd clear coat but is UV protection and super slick so dirt cant stick.
