I've had mine painted to match since April of this year. 6K+ miles later I had one rock chip on the lower CS facsia. I was able to buff it and applied some Dr. Color Chip. Now it's gone.

I don't baby this car by any means also. I constantly drive at 120+mph on German Autobahns and the rockers are all holding up very well. I was a bit apprehensive to do it, but decided I'd give it a shot. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. What I really like is that all the dimpling is gone and the paint looks and feels just like the rest of the car...very smooth and clean. Enjoy:

I have a black car, but damn I might have to do it after looking at your cars.

Thanks Buddy! Yours look great also. I couldn't stand the black plastic look around the car. I will soon be doing what you did to your front. Are we the only ones on this forum who have theirs painted like this? The 3rd picture in the above post was taken by my friend though. They are really great photographers.

No, no, no, this would be for the next ride. I haven't dumped any money into mods for over 6 months to continue to save for a '12. Don't suggest that I regress into old spending habits haha.

You see, I was asking because I believe there's two schemes that would look good. For example, 0672s rocker panels look great painted to match. However on a lighter color I was wondering if instead of a grey color, if a darker black rocker panel/rear valence would provide a nice contrast to lighter color bodies.

Though through these testimonials and how great the silver and gold look painted to match, it's definitely swaying my in that direction haha

Love the painted rocker panels and rear valance.. Ford should have done that on the 10-12 models anyhow.. Beastly looking cars both of em!
