Default Black painted rocker panels and rear valence?

Has anyone seen this before? Of course, I can't show pictures of course, since I've never seen it or been able to find it online... however I was wondering how a NON black 2011+ Mustang would look with gloss (or matte) black rocker panels? I feel like I'll be doing this or painting to match the body once I get my 2012, but I was just curious if anyone here (or if you know of someone/somewhere) has done this? I just flat out don't like the grey rocker and valence molding...

I've actually come to really appreciate the unfinished lower trim panels.. they get hit by so much $hit.. was impossible to keep that area looking clean and chip free on my 350Z with painted black lower trim.

Yea, I guess I can see that. I wonder how the black painted rockers wrapped in clear 3M material would hold up to daily driving.

How can you say that? My rocker panels and rear valance are painted to match and still look great! No rock chips etc and it IS daily driven.

how can I say that? because I've had a car with BLACK painted lower trim, as the OP is suggesting/asking about .. and it always looked dirty and beat up.

your color hides the filthy well, black does not . the chips are another story, but my front tires were capable of kicking back more then enough stuff to cause damage over the years.

I can see just as much chips, dirt etc on the bottom of my car as you can on yours. My rocker panels are just fine. My dad had them on his 2006 mustang and they were fine after 6 YEARS. OP, do it!

So has the OP decided to paint his panels?

I would like to see it, I think the cars look great with it, but it is up to personal opinion.
