Looks good! Just wandering, not meaning to dis your ride in any way, but why did you get another V6?
I debated a V8 this time but after being at the track next to 2 5.0's and making a pass - then one of the guys coming up and saying "I thought you'd be quicker, I can hear the blower" and then looking under the hood and counting off 6 spark plugs - he said "okay now I'm impressed, a 12 second V6 convertible" turned to the other guy and said "and we are getting our butts handed to us by a V6"
Decided to go with the V6 again then - and turbo this one to put it into the 11's.
It looks great, Jim! Whenever you get ready hit me up and I'll fix up your sig with your new pics. I love the hood decal and rear end.
Chris, that photoshop looks great. That's exactly what I was thinking. Lol
Thanks Tanner, if you get a chance and want to try a new sig feel free. Shannon (FATW) over at the Collective did up a new one for me though; he was just waiting to see the finished make over.
And I agree on the photoshop by Chris - my wife though says she prefers the black chin, but said "it's your car and if you like part of it painted go ahead". I keep hoping to get some time to see how the lower grill is mounted, or at least hit it with some plastidip for now. CDC has a new lower but hasn't committed to the tooling yet to produce it. If I can find someone with a 2013 GT/CS who is changing the grills I want to buy their lower (billet like mine but in black). I don't want to permanently paint the lower grill in case I want to go back to the stock front again because I do like the stock MCA look (it was why I bought it to begin with)
And as far as lowering - I don't think I will on this car. As it is, I found it tough to get the race jack under it to change to the drag wheels and tires on Friday and it did catch slightly on one piece when I used the frame rail to jack up the car - had to go with the pinch weld so the jack didn't have to go under as far. The front lip is pretty low too and I can see on some curb stops it would hit at the stock height.
Made a little change to the front this afternoon. I decided to try out some plasti-dip because it will peel off and I still have the stock MCA grills. But the grey had to change. CDC has a new lower on the drawing boards, but is waiting to see how sales of the upper go before investing in the tooling to produce it; Roush also has a lower grill that will work but it isn't available yet. If I can find a GT/CS lower grill I would swap - it is the same grill, just in black.
But with the red and black theme going I needed to do something, so a temporary solution with the plasti-dip works for now.
Like the way the upper grille looks. Be thinking a lot about doing that with mine. Now that I've seen one on your car it's a definite that I'm going to buy that grille.
