Proper ways to WAX a car...and how often
Waxing for newbies...Im the student and I know NOTHING about waxing. Thrill me guys inform me about when you know your car needs waxing, proper wax for the color of the car, what kind of towels, how to prep the car....the whole nine. Im taking notes lol. Thanks again amigo's. My car is Sterling Silver by the way.

there is no "Proper" wax for a color. Any wax can be used on any color. Also depends on your budget. When i wax I use the straight line method of waxing. the reason I do this is that if for some reason a spec gets under your pad and may cause a super fine scratch then since its only in a straight line it will be harder to see in the light as only a certain angle will cause it to appear. if you do the circular motion of waxing and that same piece of dirt was under there it would be caught in any light since you made a full circle with it.
Waxes/Sealants that I like and have owned and used.
For good wet look and decent durability

to wax my car I use the Polishing pal with the red wax pads. they are very very soft and will not scratch the paint in any way

For removal I have towels that are ONLY allowed to touch my paint and nothing else. These are my favorites they are super soft and plush and pamper your paint

now the proper prep is a WHOLE other topic, and a long topic at that. You will need a DA polisher, buffing pads and the proper compounds and polish and practice practice practice on getting the right technique down. You can watch the tips on Autogeek from Mike Phillips on how to buff your car

for a complete kit that will give you all the tools needed to do a paint correction this is a good one

I prefer the griots machine over the PC7424 because it has more power 850w 7amp vs 4.5amp 450w.
I use to have the PC and always bogged down and the Griots I have now is so much nicer as it will keep spinning even under load where the PC would just stop spinning.
I even like the Griots more then my old Flex 3401 that most people seem to say is the top of line DA buffer. I found the Flex just wasnt really worth the extra price I paid over what the Griots could give me and with the new MF buffing system the Griots was faster then the flex
