stripe job?

im located in the Los Angeles area and i've been researching a plenty for some stripes online. however, as an amateur i know if i do my own stripe job, i will ruin my mustang. i went to a shop and they gave me a number to some sketchy guys whom i called, asking way too much just for a stripe job and a ridiculous price to get the stripes myself. please help, any advice is helpful. hope you all have a nice day and drive safely.

p.s. i drive a v6 kona blue and am looking for dual racing stripes straight down the whole thing (full front bumper included) but installed a carbon fiber decklid on the back currently. would this be a hassle?

One great place to buy the stripes is at The Decal Shoppe online. I had mine installed at a local sign shop, Fastsigns. They did a great job and only charged me $160.00 for the install.

The carbon fiber decklid can be striped, but I don't know if you'd want it to be.

Its not very hard to install them, I have zero patience for that sort of thing and mine came out perfect. I even taped everything up, measured and spent an hour setting up. I had the car half in/half out of the garage. So when I carried the 1st stripe out the wind got it (it doesn't take much) and it was a crumpled mess, and STILL came out great. Use the wet method.

thats what i am exactly looking for without it striped, 160 doesnt sound bad at all!

@Tommyc : could you elaborate on the wet method? and you did this by yourself? and it still looks great?

The wet method is just a small amount of soap and water, you spray the back of the stripe and the car then stripe slides into place, can even take it off and do it again. Also a hair dryer helps form the stripe around edges. The decal shop has a video of how to do it. Its not hard. http://www.decalshoppe.com/decal_ins...n_instructions

Just make sure if you have recently waxed the car to clean it down with some IPA 50% or less.
