Default TIme for some engine painting... GRABBER BLUE

So those of you who know me I like to dress up the engine as much as I can.

So I took the stock Coil COvers and Plenum cover and gave them some paint.

Even threw in some black splatter...

Not the best work I have done with these... but it'll do for now.

Silver Bullet II, my 2000 GT convertible went in for a full blown paint job today so I will be driving Poppa Smurf for a few more days

looks very good, nice job. on your 2000, youre getting a full paint job, same color? for how much? just curious because i would like to paint my 2003.

Same color... With the Rusty RH 1/4 and left side door dings, all scratches being filled and smoothed out, bumpers being resurfaced

Base coat with 4 coats of clear $1300. But I did end up using Maaco. They were willing to deal with the black spray paint previous owner slapped all over the back trunk and bumper and center of hood.

Can't save the BC/CC black on hood so whole wood will be painted Silver.

I am trying to find the original Spring Edition decal set that came with that car in 2000, and if I can or have it made I will dress it up.

The grabber looks great, good job! You going to put the chrome 5.0 emblem back on? That makes it tempting for me to buy a second cover and see what I can do with it...

NICE... may I make a suggestion?

If so, throw 3-4 coats of clear on that bad boy and the CO covers.

The lettering, on the cover and on the coil on cover, filled in with red, would look absolutely sick.

That is a great idea... I will give it a try. Right now my concentration is on the 00 Convertible. It comes out of the body shop Monday afternoon after some body work and a full paint job. Once I get that squared away... I will focus more attention on the 13 again.
