Someone hit my 2012 Mustang a few weeks back (parked on the street). They did about $17k in damage... he was going pretty fast. So my car is in the shop now and I am thinking about a few body changes for my car while it's in the shop (in case i need to get a part painted). I've been looking around for a hood. Has anyone seen a decent black hood on different colored mustang setup? I think it might work well on my car (dark blue). Thoughts?

up to you, but I think black hoods on a non black car screams ricer or "haven't had time or money to get my hood painted"

Carbon fiber hood is another story, though.

I love the cervinis type 4 hood on my 2013. As far as leaving it black on a blue car, I think it just looks unpainted/unfinished. It would look good as long as it's clearly intentional by also painting the roof and rear decklid black too. Going for a true two-tone look.

Yes carbon fiber, maybe just wrap it with carbon fiber

A wrap is a great idea; when you think about it, it will protect your paint for a long time.
