Default Options for gauge and ac vent bezel replacement?

Yeah man, it's ridiculous. You can see just by the picture that it's angling right into my eyes. I even thought about hitting it with a marker, it was so annoying on a road trip I took to the gap last year.

That was why I did it on my 2006 to begin with - then I decided that after making the surround a matte that the silver matte vent didn't look right so painted them black.

I will check with a friend who knows how to pull the dash apart next time I see him. He has done hydro dipping on his dash so I know that he has pulled that center section out.

I just took my 12's dash apart to run power to my GPS. For the center vents, there is one screw on the left and two on the right holding it in, behind each of the side dashboard pieces. The left one is easy to get to since you can remove the gauge bezel piece by just grabbing and pulling it out. Mine has the silver metal'ish panels so I had to remove the passenger airbag (The airbag is attached to the passenger panels and everything comes out as a unit) to get to the right 2 screws. I found a few utube videos on how to do it and a guy without the metal dash panels just gently bent the grey plastic passenger side airbag upper cover back to get to the screws.

I personally would rather remove the airbag instead of bending a panel, but it take a lot more time and effort to remove the airbag. Either way make sure you disconnect the battery before messing with the AIRBAG covers on the passenger side.
