Coupe/Convertible Front Clip
 

Hey all,

Here in Germany I have various parts dealers telling me fenders and hoods for the S197 are not interchangeable between the coupe and convertible. This makes literally no sense and I cannot believe it to be true. Can someone confirm that I could use coupe fenders and a hood on my convertible?

You are correct, it makes no sense. There is no difference in the hoods, fenders, or front fascia. The only thing that is different is the trunk lid and the windshield.

So yes, you can use coupe fenders and hood on your convertible.

Given prices being stupid here for S197 parts, I think I'm just going to get a parts car from IAA, as a hood + fender + bumper + headlights costs as much as a parts car.

FB Marketplace, a guy is selling two fenders for $80.00, new, they need painted.

Hoods are listed too, you can use ANY 05-09 Mustang hood, fenders, headlamps, and trim
level doesn't matter, just NOT the Shelby GT500, hood is different, it's more like the 10-14
hoods; which you still can use, it just wouldn't look right...
