Ways to tell the 11s from the 10s

it's just a personal thing, most represent parts i use, these louvers came off my 2010 gt, which had about $5000 in modds, it does not appeal to most, but from a kind to now always like decals, nascar, in person looks ok, to me lol, just my personality, don't mean to offend, but nothing back there was sort of plain...oh well

I'm actually thinking about trading my 2005GT in for a v6 this time next year. I can get A-plan pricing and my car should get about $9k trade in. I'm just hoping that the v6 will have a strong after market by then.

yeah got mine for under 29,000 with x plan pricing, so power junkies around here feel making a blower for the v6 will blow up motor, I question why, , cuz it is a short block 6? I'm not into it that much to say yea or nea, but leave the stock pipes on and a procharger on it would sound wild under hood, just that sound instead of loud pipes.

reading a lot of The speed limiter is set at 112 to 115mph on new v6, not really seeing the point if you are going to broadcast the new powerhouse 6 in town by ford?,guess requires a dyno/ custom tune and buy a hand held , but hear the new pcm in car is not same as the '10, somethig called copper pcm?
#65
its because they aren't going to have different PCM setups from the factory. The base v6 probably has crappy tires and therefore it would be unsafe to go faster than that. Even though everyone who gets mca/pony/performance packages get some nice pirelli rubber we are still limited. Its sad that it gets there so quickly and has a lot left.

The v6 have been electronically limited to 116 since at least 2000. On the s197 chassis the main reason for not increasing max speed is that the 2 piece driveshaft is prone to failure over 120 mph. Unless you track you car, there is no reason to change this setting because you shouldnt be going that fast anyway.

So I keep learning as I go on..........but I have to beleive ford has resolved that over a 10 year period, 2 peice?, you mean like the one I pulled off my '10 GT, I don't think the shaft for GT AND V6 much different these days ,I had no issues at track doing 130 in GT and wasted my $$$ putting the aluminum DS on, really found no change, the clunk everyone says goes away is still there after replacing
