First what model of Magnaflow did you have installed? It sounds like you made the right choice.
Drone is a very unpleasant sound that sometimes occurs with aftermarket mufflers. It is a sound which seems to fill the car and makes the car unpleasant to drive. It is a resonance which occurs at about 2000 rpm. It gets loud and feels like there is pressure building inside the car.
It sounds like these mufflers just sound good and do not have that down side.

FWIW, the Corsa system I bought has no drone, but the out of car tone isnt the best. I put some vids in the "exhaust system" thread in this section.
