Default Finding a strut-tower brace that fits 2011s....

This thread is not to dicuss the merits of a strut brace. However I saw a member comment about not finding part numbers yet for 2011 v6 strut braces, so I thought I'd post this up..

555-5718

Bought this from Steeda, and it fits just fine. Steeda told me its the same one for the 05-10 v6s.

.6" clearance at the closest point of the plenum, I run my car hard and there are no marks or signs of rubbing.

Please keep in mind that just because Steedas design still fits, doesnt mean other makers wont have to come out with something new....

Or you could contact your dealer. The factory number, or at least the number stamped on the brace, next to the Ford logo on mine is: 176AE12010L. Best regards Plum (Fast Furious Fun)

plumbago, you have a ford strut tower brace? I thought they weren't available until the perf pack launched?

The convertibles have a brace as standard equipment, Isn't that the same one? I'd sure a dealer would order that one for you, probably expensive though.

That was me. I looked on the Steeda site after you pointed me in that direction. does anyone know the difference between the Stage 1 handling package and the G-Track Stage 1 Package on the Steeda site other than the slight difference in parts?

I checked with my dealer, who called someone at Ford, who called someones Grandmother of an employee, who checked with China. Seriously, when you buy the convertable, you get all the bars and springs, and braces in the (unavailable 3.7)performance package, pretty much everything except the 19 "wheels.........This from a very good source at Ford.............best regards Plum And if you don't want to believe it, you can compare all the part tag numbers on car............

Funster, I suppose if there was a clearance issue, 2 washers per bolt would work and not make any weaker?

I might try to see what ford wants for this one, should be available as of 16 aug. I like that eng. cover too.

I don't see a couple washers causing a problem, not alot of tourqe there and those studs are probably high grade.

Where did you find that engine cover??? That looks ****! Adding it to my "want" list for sure..
