K&N Filter Performance over CAI

Do I understand the OP implying that he intends to get a CAI w/o a tune and/or that he intends on a canned tune over a custom tune. I probably need more coffee...

Oh I intend to get CAI with a canned tune... maybe buying a tuner from AM then getting one of the "custom" Bama tunes. I don't intend to take to a shop and get it expertly tuned. It's a DD, V6 Auto. I put in 80+ miles on it daily, through heavy traffic, so I got for the MPG. I don't need ultimate power, but a little more power without hurting the MPG too much would be nice.

And as for BAMA Tunes being ready, here's the email from BAMA today......
Jerry,
We are still waiting on the software to be released from SCT. At this point we are anticipating it to be released soon but have not been told a date to expect it. The best thing I can say is to just keep checking back with us and we will let you know when the tuning is available. We will also have information posted on our website when the tuning is available.

I am going to wait till Steeda comes out with a CAI for the 2011v6. Then I will have that put on as well as do a SCT tune, change gears to 3.73 and maybe even have the Steeda suspension kit installed. P/N 555-2371 Steeda Handling Pak - Stage 2 - $1,299.00
Last but not least have an underdrive pulley put on as that is good for a few rwhp. That will probably be a wrap. My first desire was to do a supercharger but have since changed my mind on that. I figure with all the above and tuned for 91 octane I should as quick if not quicker then a stock 05-10 stock GT. And quicker in 1/4 mile.
At least I am hoping.

It's never a good feeling to feel like you got ripped off. I got my Mustang right off the truck, first to test drive, $350 over invoice.
