GT performance from V6
2011 V6. Mods: yes
Tell me: How many of you out there would be happy with your V6 doing 0-60 in 5.1/5.2, 1/4 mile in 13.7
That was what the 2010 GT did. I would say for me with my bolt on mods I should be able to match that. The time has come for V6 stangs to be looked at in a respectable light.
For me, I am very very happy with that kind of performance.
ARE YOU???

I think those '10 GT times are a little on the optimistic side. 0-60 in 5.4 would be more likely and even that is with a good driver. 13.7 sounds about right in the 1/4 mile with a decent driver. I think as it stands, the '10 GT is about 2/10ths faster than an '11 V6. Certainly not worth an extra $3-4k that Ford is currently charging for the '10 GT over the 11 V6, not to mention the fuel mileage differences between the two. I am very excited for what Ford has done with the new V6 stangs. I only wish I had held off another year! I am torn as to which car to get though but either way it probably won't be until the end of the model year next spring when the deals are best. I would take a '10 GT vert now if Ford would sell it for $29k out the door but they are still firm on their prices for some reason so as it stands I will probably end up with an '11 V6 exactly like my '10 V6 but this time with saddle interior and a backup camera. Still undecided on manual or auto though.

I can't find my time slips but my '10 w/ JLT CAI, CORSA EXHAUST, and a tune , it was a 5 spd manual, never missed a shift, did 14.1 @ 98 mph, then a 14,even that bad of time beat a '10 SS camaro whohad a better time and 104 mph, but was sleeping at line, so this new V6 on mine I have notracked yet but more than happy with it

I'm still waiting for a supercharger. It's isn't even about the speed or power. Maybe I'm the only one, but I get bored if I'm not adding something to my car. Modding the car is almost more fun than driving it.
I'll go back to my little corner now.
