What are 3.7's 6mt's dynoing with bolt ons/tune? Real world mpg?

Zulu; the computer milage can vary several MPG from the real value in some cars. Much of that has to do with just how and when in the reset cycle you do what. It gets complicated. Mine is usually about 1.7 mpg off. Try checking a tank or two dividing the miles driven by gallons consumed. I hope they come out the same for you. I am glad you are enjoying your mustang. I've actually done just that, confirming with the fill-ups and manual calculation.

I deliver pizza in my stang, 3.73 manual, i get about 15 mpg driving residential side streets =(

We have a 2011 V6 auto 2.71 gear Mustang. Our average with running 70% highway, 30% intown is 28-31 depending on how we drive. Just driving long trips on the highway we get 33-34 running 65-70mph. Daily back and forth with no highway is around 23. We are about to swap gears to 3.55 or 3.73, add a BAMA tuner, add a axle back exhaust system so we will see what happens.

You will see a decrease in that mileage for sure..I run 3.31, in 5th it's 2500 PRM at 62 cause if I drop into 6th doing 62, goes below 2000...LUG, so I get around 30 on highway at 70 to 72 at 2150 RPM in 6th with no tune, just a Airaid CAI and Borla type S

Correct me if I'm wrong 6+6, but they didn't ever mention what gear they were running in, right? I'm assuning 6th on a 2.73. I know those engineers probably figured out the perfect drag-coefficient sweet spot against the fuel input rate and the efficiency of the motor, and came up with around 50mph. 6th in a 2.73 is under 1,200 RPMs. Yikes. No hills please. :-)

I think they've figured most modern day cars with coefficients in the low .3 range end up at around 45mph for best efficiency, assuming the gearing and motor are optimal for testing at that point (and maybe a bit higher if they are slippier through the wind). They might have figured that it was worth it for them to push it closer to 50mph if they determined the motor had the ideal amount of torque and hp to do so.

I used to have a lifted Wrangler that that had a coefficient like a brick on stilts, so any sort of speed and that those mpgs just tanked.
