What are 6mt 3.7's dynoing at with basic bolt on's (cat back, intake and tune?) Any other mods worth doing on the 3.7's?
My heart is set on a 5.0 but its more than just the extra 6-7k, its the fuel, the insurance and etc.
Also, what is everyone getting with real world driving as far as mpg? Anbody switch gears and pay attention to the mpg change? Seems like gears are really needed with the 3.7 to get her off the line but would not be cool to chop the mpg serverely to do so.

Mine w/ no mods at all, 6spd man. tranny, 3.31 rear end, 46 miles a day round trip driving, anywhere from 45 to 70 mph. I get 24.5 on a trip, 70 mph 30 mpg. but the 24.5 may include some getting on it a little too!

Mine is 2.73 stock rear end gears, 6mt, mmr intake&custom flowmaster mid mounted dual exhaust not tunned yet, also have a set of fairly heavy*26 pounds each* 19" wheels&275/35/19 tires I also have the stillen chin spoiler&cdc side splitters>500 rear diffuser.
Average fuel mileage on everyday commuting is right at 24.5-25.2mpg and thats miles driven divided by gallons consumed, same route everyday 38 miles roundtrip about 7-8 miles city streets the rest freeway averaging right at between 45-70mph using cruise in the morning and manual in the afternoons. Best fuel econ was on a mostly highway trip to savvanah got 29.3 going up 29.8 coming back thats in summer a/c on two people luggage etc averaging right at 75-85mph some cruise control and lots of in town cruising once we got there and goosing it for the locals

Pretty incredible to think that my 2003 focus SVT weighing in @ 2700lbs gets me combined average of 22mpg with 150whp and 135wtq (after bolt ons!). My 0-60 is right about 7 seconds.
The 2011 V6 looks to average 25mpg for the type of driving I do, weighs 700 lbs more (@ 3400) and puts down 260whp and 250wtq with just a tune. 0-60 seems to be about 5.1 seconds.
My SVT Cost the same new as the base v6 as well.
....Impressive!

I don't see why people are getting such low mpgs. I haven't reset my mpg average for about a month. In that month, I've done everything from highway driving, city driving, back country road performance driving, and I'm still at an average (with all of that) of 28mpg. I do have the 2.73 auto, but during all of that, I haven't been driving slow or anything. Been accelerating fast every time, and even managed to sneak a 14s 1/4 mile in there. (I'm praying to get something under 14.0, even a 13.99, before I make mods.) I have been using 89 octane, but I don't know if that could make such a drastic difference.
