My AM/Bama Tuner will be here next week...I can't wait to load up my 93 race tune and see what this thing can really do on Friday nights at the track. My V6 premium is truly a pleasure to drive and lots of fun too, the tuner should be the incing on the cake!
Same here! I'm hoping to get it by Monday or Tuesday. Unfortunately, there isn't 93 octane around here, just 91 and I think there's 100 octane or something at a local gas station, but I don't buy gas from there...
I assume you're talking about the 05-09 V6's, correct? I haven't heard any specific issues with the rear ends of the 11' v6's. And we have the 8.8 inch rear end for 11' (the same found in the GT's since 79'), not the 7.5" that came in the 05-10 V6's.
The 8.8" first showed up in the Mustang GT in 1986.
V8 Fox Mustangs had 7.5" from '79-85 and 7.5" Traction-Lok did not become available until '82 or 83. However, Ford had reliabilty issues with the 7.5" T-Lok in V8 Mustangs, so the more H-D 8.8" axle became std. on all GT's in 1986 and later.
The speed limiter is removed in the Bama aftermarket calibrations. Because of the 8.8" rear, everything is fine to go faster, other than the speed rating of the tire.
