Clutch pedal binding

Yep good to see ya on road......mine from my track incident might be back next week, found out something new, and is it a hats off or not to Ford? Well the part that is holding me up, front right strut.......oh yeah..I see the call now, I need a strut for 2010-2011 mustang V6.....well take it from the person that is suffering, the part is on back order, and now everyone has learned the 2011 strut is different than the 2010....so Ford makes the 2010 & 11 look same? but the srtuts are different, I could not beleive but when they drove the car and could not find the flap, flap noise, they saw the strut having a issue, realized it was different part number and not like the left...hmmmm...learning daily about this '11 V 6...

Got my car back and it drives like new now. The service advisor told me that there was a design flaw in the flywheel and bolts on my car. They replaced both with a new style along with a clutch assembly and both hydraulic cylinders. My car was built 5-25-2010, which was after the TSB regarding the clutch staying on the floor during high revs. So, I don't know if that's what the adviser was referring to as being the fauly design or not. Either way it's driving great now. And a new exhaust is coming next week! I'll start a new threadd with videos next week once it's all done.

I don't have it with me right now. I'm at work. I'll take a look tomorrow and see what part numbers they have on there. I know they listed 5 separate parts on the invoice: clutch cylinder (I'm assuming they mean master cylinder for this), clutch slave cylinder, flywheel, flywheel bolts (quantity 6), and "clutch assembly" (I was assured that this included plate, disk, and release bearing). There's no mention of a TSB on the paperwork they gave me. And the clutch feels different now than when I got it. It makes me wonder if there was an issue when I first got the car and it took this long to completely fail. The clutch used to not disengage until about 3 or 4 inches into the pedal travel (about half way). Not it starts to disengage about an inch into the pedal travel (about 1/6 of its total travel). Plus it feels lighter than it did before and the clutch pedal always seemed to hang just a bit towards the end when you'd let your foot off of it before they fixed it. The pedal feels like a Toyota Yaris now. Very light. It took some getting used to, but I like it now. I took it for a nice scenic 60 mile drive through the mountains today with plenty of shifts and plenty of high revs and it handled like a champ without even the slightest hitch. And to 6 + 6, I hope you see your car soon and without issues
