I had a clunk that turned into a grind when my tranny is cold. Complained about the clunk at 500 miles. Dealer said it was driveline lash. Now I have over 6000 miles, I went in to complain again and was made aware of this problem. Read more in this thread:

I also may have the "pressure plate bolts backing out" problem.

I think ford is being quiet on this one since it such a major screw up. But I didn't get halfway through explaining my problem when the service guy mentioned the fluid change.
It must only be a special service bulletin at this point, but my dealer knew all about it so ford had to have communicated SOMETHING.
