Will these mods work well together?
Hello everyone
I picked up my very own 2011 v6 recently and am loving it more and more everyday lol, and as alot do I now want to modify it but for now just the usual (exhaust, intake, blah blah). And was considering this combo..
Intake: http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...old-Air-Intake
Exhaust: http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...Exhaust-System (once in stock)
Tuner: Perhaps http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...ner-Programmer
I drive it as a DD but I want to unleash w/e is in that engine lol, I am considering getting ford's gear upgrade as well. My only concern is how well will the tuner/ exhaust/ intake work together and what is worth the money. Any input would be appreciated as I am new to this forum

Yes, those mods will work together. Wonderfully so. If you are set on those parts, let me give you a head's up:
http://www.americanmuscle.com/jlt-sct-2011v6-kit.html - 630 for both CAI and Tuner, versus 670 buying each separately, PLUS you get lifetime tunes from BAMA
http://www.americanmuscle.com/magnaf...ck-2011v6.html - 630 vs 655. And in stock.
I'm not paid to advertise for AM; I've just been browsing their site on a daily basis for a while now, and immediately realized there was money to be saved.
Of course, all up to you. I believe wrxified had a set of the Magnaflow Comp Catbacks and he ended up selling them for not fitting correctly on his 2011 V6.

Niiiiice lol, I had actually looked into americanmuscle previously and was like aw crud I remember this place and ordered the same exhaust XD.
Its cool dude, however I am slightly concerned with that post. Fitment issues huh? I only hope it was an isolated incident or he just didn't like the clearances/fit.

Beware that buying it from that vendor gets you the SCT canned tunes. The canned tunes do not gain near the power and driveability improvements as the tunes from AM and Brenspeed. Buy a CAI & tuner combo from them and you'll be a lot happier.

1. def get the combo from AM, better deal and better tunes.
2. might want to take a look at this, i recently found this site from somebody mentioning it on another mustang forum, have no idea whether its reputable or not but hot damn they have great prices $467 vs $630 for the magnaflow comp cat-backs
they look to be a very small site cause their selection is tiny compared to AM, if anyone has any experience with this store please post.

3. congrats on the ride, i've got a 3.7 as well and will most liking be doing the same tuner/intake combo over summer.
on a side note: late model restoration has the wrong pic, its showing the magnaflow street cat-backs not the competion version

Yeah I'm pretty much sold on the AM.com guys, their deals are too good to ignore XD. I ordered the exhaust and next paycheck comes the tuner and intake combo o_o. However I wanted to ask if the improved gear ratios from my ford dealer are worth the possible $500?
Thats pretty much the last thing to put on but I can imagine there might be a technicality there.
