2013 3.7 V6 mods
I recently purchased a 2013 3.7 V6, expecting delivery by mid/end of March.
I’m curious to know if the following 2012 mods would be compatible with the 2013 model:
1. OEM Strut Tower Brace
2. Airaid/SCT tuner combo from AM.
I sent an email to AM a couple of weeks ago about their combo, and the answer I got was basically “if it’s not on our website, it’s not compatible “. Maybe someone from Am can confirm this.
Thanks in advance

As for your tune, it has to be custom programmed based on your computer's code in the car itself, so until that car comes, programming can't be done anyway.

Did you order the Performance Package? If so, you should get the STB with that.
As for tune, be patient. I'm sure someone will be on that nearly immediately upon release!
Now one thing I don't know is which axle the 2013 will get. I'm sure it will have the shorter 3:31 ratio, but is it the 7.5" or the 8.8"? Anyone know?
EDIT: Found it! The 2011+ V6 gets the 8.8", which is GOOD if you're going to add power!

speaking of '13 i was talking to ford guy that helps with new design on mustangs. maybe most know the differences from '11 to '13, but if not, was told, HID's standard, premium models all get 4.2" screen where radio is, track pack comes with differential cooler...some other stuff for other models, 412 HP goes up to 420 on gt, 650 5.8 for shelby, and talk of a ecoboost from ford truck, 120 lb lighter front end....future looks nice lol.

I thought I read that some of the 2011 6v models came with 7.5" rear ends but by late 2011 on they were all 8.8LS and Dual Stainless Exhaust.
I posted this in another thread but hear it is again. After much reading and some penciling I am going to order the Steeda Tuner and eventually the Steeda CAI. It is hard to know exactly how much torque and horse power you will really get from bolt ons but if the claims are consistent and true you get my power per dollar with the Steeda products and I thought their CAI was better built, both because it is not just molded plastic and because it plums into the existing air intake hole as well as actually sealing up air space, most of the other products do not seem to combine all 3 of those elements. Those are my thoughts for what it is worth.
Since Steeda works closely with Ford they may have the tuning information for the 2013 models. It can't hurt to ask. I spoke to a guy names Don who was very helpful.

I am fairly sure all s-197 cars came with 8.8 rear ends. Only SN-95 V6 cars had 7.5. At least I know all 2011 V6 models have a 8.8 rear end.
I would not get all into the sealed air box. It might be a hair colder but it does restrict air flow. On an NA car this is not a big deal if you go FI then you want the greater air flow. However being in CA you need to get whatever has EO status.
