2012 V6 headers (or lack of)
I see that BBK has headers that have to be matched with their x-pipe. I have a Ford Racing x-pipe (reuses factory cats) that really makes my Roush axlebacks sound CLEAN and beautiful. I would like to add headers, but are there any headers for the V6 that don't need a specific x-pipe? I drive long distances frequently, so I don't want a system that is overly loud (i.e., no off road x-pipes). If I were to get a certain header with their x-pipe, it would have to be catted (i.e., $$$$$). So, I propose the question again... Any headers that can go on with a ford racing x-pipe?
Also, I cant figure out how to change my signature. N00B. Thanks ya'll

No matter what headers set up you choose, you will most likely need to get rid of your Roush exhaust because of how loud they've reportedly sound with a full exhaust set up. I know 2 guys who said the Roush's became completely unbearable with headers and they reverted to stock exhaust with their LT headers.

I agree with Solid. The aftermarket cats sit further back. They require harness extensions. Bassani now is making headers and you can choose race pipe or cats with the x-pipe. I have the race pipes and it does have a bit of a drone at 65-75 MPH. I have the cats to put back on someday and will make a new video.
