2012 Mustang knock / rattle when shutting off engine
Hello,
I have a 2012 Mustang V6 Manual, Performance Package with 1,900 miles.
When I turn off the engine there is a knock / rattle when it spins down, right before it completely stops.
If I press the clutch in when I shut it off it stops properly with no problems.
Does anybody know why this is? Has anybody experience it before?
Thank you.

Hello,
According to many other forums for different cars, the shudder I am experiencing has to do with the dual mass flywheel. It seems to be normal.
Upon searching for the issue generally it seems all brands have it if using a DMF.
Thank you.

Not sure this is your problem, but I'd try another gas station. When I turn off my car, it turns off. No knock or shudder. I use Shell or other top tier fuels.

Hello,
Is your car manual or automatic? If it is manual, it only does the rattle when you do not press the clutch and the car is in neutral. If you press the clutch it stops fine. Also it is for the 3.7l V6 only.
