Default From your 3.7 to a 5.0?

I know some have thought about it but has anyone swapped out their 3.7 for the 5.0 Coyote engine? Or do you know someone who has? Just been curious about it lately, looking at prices and etc. I'm sure it's possible but then again it's probably more simple to just pay off your V6 and trade it for a 5.0 but I'm a fan of anything built and if you have any pictures or anything relative please share.

No one has done it AFAIK. It isn't worth it financially IMO. Like you said, most people who want a bigger engine trade their v6 in for a 5.0.

You can't simply drop the motor in and be done. You'll need a new ECU, driveshaft, probably upgrade to the GT front springs etc.

Its more bang for your buck to add the ProCharger SC. That will pump your 3.7 up to 475hp and beyond for less money than a engine swap.

...and you won't muck up your handling advantage on the V6 be doing so.

Now if Procharger could get up the gumption to crank out a 2013 kit....

Doesn't the Procharger pretty much remove the weight difference between the 3.7 and 5.0?

I do agree that a Procharger is your best bet followed by trading the v6 in for a v8. You end up with 50 more hp and pretty much retain stock mpg levels if you can stay out of boost.
