I really wanna check this on my '13 when I get back down to Florida. It would be nice to get surprised with a one piece driveshaft

Shaftmasters doesn't even make it for the 11-12 anymore. Now I wonder if the '13 one piece would fit on the '12? It's not like I'm going to go over 113 but even the Prius has a top speed of 122 mph, I mean really. Ford. What were you thinking???

Speed Limiter is set by the Base Tires top speed, not the drive shaft, and the drive shaft is a 2 piece unit in the 2013 and basically the same shaft all the way from 2011 on up. The shaft with the Carrier bearing in it is from a GT I do believe.

Depends, if enough failures occur or the NTSB gets enough complaints about the DS they could make ford replace it.

Since the Transmission and Rear Axle are the same I wonder if you guys could just swap it out for the GT DS?

Actually, the v6 shaft is longer than the GT shaft.

Hmmmm thats strange, because when I called American Muscle to see if they could send me an update on the BAMA tunes to eliminate the speed limiter they said I had to tell them that I have an aluminum drive shaft.

That might be a new thing on their part. I know they started putting a default 125mph limiter on the tune last Summer unless you specifically asked them not to.
