Default 3.7 v6 no mufflers = awsome...

Just had my stock mufflers removed running all stock with straight pipe replacing the muffler/reusing stock tips. And wow in my opinion this is a really good setup. It's really not loud for day to day driving. 2.5k on up it screams.... Tue YouTube videos really don't do it justice....

I took mine off a couple of years ago just for kicks. Went from the Little Rock area up to Fayetteville - through the Bobby Hopper Tunnel on I-540. To paraphrase Jeremy Clarkson, it sounded like it was full of demons.

I ran sans mufflers but it got old really quick.

I also did the bobby hopper trick, it was a blast.
Had to do it a couple of times just because it was fun...

Stock mufflers and tips weigh 46lbs alone. I put in pypes mufflers instead and easily shaved 26-28lbs off.

I took the OE muffler weights off and weighed them, they were 28oz each, that is 3.5lbs right there. The only time I notice any additional vibration is occasionally at idle.

I noticed that Roackauto sell the Dynomax 2.5" Cat-back tubes for around $44 each, I am thinking of buying those and then running the Pypes Mufflers. That ought to shave 25lbs off and flow more exhaust. That or buy the dynomax Cat-back kit and maybe swap out the mufflers later.
