Default Limited slip or not?

I always thought that my 2012 came from the factory with a limited slip rear end as a standard feature. A local Ford service manager informed me last week that I was wrong. According to him, only the V8 powered Mustangs got these, not the 6 cylinder cars. I have read many posts on here concerning changing the rear axle ratio. I don't recall ever reading where anybody had to spend extra money to convert the rear end to limited slip or positraction. Is this Ford service manager correct?

He is mistaken.

Everything I have seen (including window stickers and reviews) state that all 11+ Mustangs got a posi.

If you do a burnout and slip both tires, doesn't that mean that it has an LSD?

The 05 to 10 V6 had a 7.5 open end, the 11 on up is 8.8 limited slip

Default Ls or non LS

Raise both rear wheels off the ground. With trans in neutral, turn one rear wheel. If the other wheel turns in the same direction, it's LS.
