'14 V6 Base vs. '08 Pony Package vs. '15

Manual transmission, must have....I agree.
I emailed the salesman today to ask about the stock Sat Capable radio and the $525 option .....he hasn't replied yet, maybe he is off today. I suppose they will have to add a satellite radio antenna. I may just forego the satellite radio all together....the subscription has gotten a bit pricey anyways.
Yes...if I was happy with the pep in my 08 pony....my guess is the '14 V6 base (with manual tranny) will suit me just fine.
Thanks for the input.

You get Sync, Sirius, LCD w/ track options on the HUD, Better looking 17" wheels. Probably, some other things I'm not mentioning. You could probably get out the door around 24K. Ecspecially if your looking at a manual.

I have no personal experience with the 3.7L but have been told on countless occasions that the power is all in the upper RPM ranges. But if you were happy with the 4.0 then you should be as happy or happier with the 3.7, providing your not expecting huge gains under "normal" acceleration.
The 14 is a still a great looking car. I liked the muted color on the dash...the center stack or whatever you call that looked real good. I may haven gotten spoiled by the bigger display and navigation in my VW Passat. I think I want that in all new vehicles I purchase in the future.
I think I am going to wait until the '15 model (50th anniversary edition) roll out then see what they look like, if I don't like the '15...I will probably be able to get a better deal on any '14 model still on the lots.

You can get some pretty good deals on used used 13s as well. I paid $17k for my 13 last year with only 12k on the odo. Out the door was closer to $19. The $5k that I saved all went into mods to make my car stand out. I really like my V6, people are always surprised my car is a V6 because of the way it looks and sounds. I have CAI and the Roush exhaust. It gets up and goes. I drove a Jeep a patriot before this and the fastest car I ever owned was a Type S RSX.
Sometimes I wish I went with a GT, mostly so I can stop hearing, "oh, it's a V6". 300+ hp is plenty for me and I like the 30mpg.
I'd also skip the factory sat radio. For a little more you can go after market and get a decent head unit that has sat radio, DVD, and more capabilities if you wanted to add better audio down the road.

This cost $319, plus $39 for sat radio, and another $250 or so for the dash kit and wiring harness. Now you've got Bluetooth, DVD, and more.

Picked up my new '14 V6 base model in white...with equipment pkg 102A. I am impressed with the technological capabilities so far...I hear the SYNC is not a perfected system just yet...but I am loving it so far......pics to follow.
