oil - more for the discussion
I've always been told by the "experts" that adhering to the manufacturers recommended oil weight of 5wt-20 was critical. Well, here's my personal experience with my 2012 V6 that now has 94k miles on it.
I've always used nothing but full synthetic oil that met the Ford spec for this car. But, when the odometer hit about 75k, I noticed a bit more engine noise than my neighbors 2013 with 24k. I decided to "up" the weight a bit to see if I could provide a bit more cushion between the internal moving parts. I went to 0wt-30 Mobil 1. It worked. There was a noticeable reduction in the top end engine noise. There was no change in my normal excellent fuel economy, or any other adverse reactions.
When it came time to change the oil next, I couldn't get my hands on any 0wt-30 Mobil 1, so I went with Valvoline full synthetic in 5wt-30. It was summertime here in the deep south, so I said, what the heck. Well, the engine seemed to get a bit more quiet, and the fuel economy seems to have climbed a bit. (used to average about 28 -29mpg, now getting about 29 - 30mpg) I've been running 5wt-30 fully synthetic ever since. I know there are many factors that affect fuel economy, but going to the heavier oil certainly didn't seem to adversely affect it.
Take it for what it's worth, but going to the 5wt-30 doesn't seemed to have hurt me a bit, and may have actually helped.

You will be fine
5W-30 is fine as long as you don't live up north where it stays cold most of the year. Down where you live the 5W-30 is still going to flow like a 5W-20 but have a little more viscosity when the engine warms up.The 5W-30 is better for your engine then the 0W-30. The 0W is for frigid weather which you just don't have that often.
Personally, I would stick with the 5W-20 good oil such as the Mobil-1 your using or Ford Motorcraft. It just does a better job all around protecting your engine.
