Default Throttle Body Boring

After looking around for a while, I have noticed a lot of peeps running the BBK Throttle Body for the increase in size and volume of air flow. I can't really justify the cost of the BBK, however, I do understand the science behind it. Does anyone have any experience with MAXBORE? For $99, They will take a stock TB and bore it out to max specs, 72-73mm for our vehicles. Seems to have a good amount of positive reviews from customers. Just wondering if anyone has any input?

Thanks.

OP-

That's a good question and while I don't have any experience with Maxbore I can personally attest to how much stronger our 3.7l felt after we had installed the BBK Throttle Body and Tune. I have a pretty solid list of Bolt-On's installed on my '08 Bullitt and as aggravating as it is to say the V6 just walks all over it on the streets. For lack of a better term the 3.7l is pretty corked up and bordering asmatic. It highly benefits from a little more air getting stuffed into the motor to create some HP.

Let me know if you're to have any questions and I'm here to help!

Not sure if its the increased "SUCKING" and WHOOSHING from the CAI, but the bigger BBK throttlebody seemed to liven up the V6 especially after 3k RPM for me.

I didn't notice a change when I swapped to the BBK TB. I installed it because after ~55k miles my tb shorted out. How is this not a part of the power-train? Anyway dealer wanted 600 or 700 dollars to replace it on top of the 100 dollar diagnostic fee. They said it was so expensive because "we have to reprogram the throttle body" bulllll sh!7. Its a plug and play part. So yeah, that is how I ended up with one.

Xenocide - I've heard and seen in other posts that without a tune, you will not notice a difference when changed. Do you have a programmer/tune?

Same here with my stock TB ported and polished, although mine is 4.0L so your experience may vary. I had a bit more down low power that registered well on the butt dyno.

I think mine was ported/polished at the intake openings to about ~73mm with a reduction in the size of the butterfly valve disc. but no bore. I had my tune updated for it as well.
