2011 V6 Mustang Mysterious Engine/Belt? Noise (w/ vids)
Hi - I have a 2011 3.7L V6 Mustang (43k miles), took it for a nice ~2 hour drive the other day. Yesterday started it up and heard the noise in the videos below. Did not drive it out of the garage, I'm hoping to get an idea what is going on before driving to the dealership. I don't drive the car particularly hard, and I hooked in my SCT and it's not throwing any codes, also no lights lit up on dash. Get oil changed regularly at dealership and it was just changed a couple weeks ago.
Noise just after start up @1000 RPM - https://*******/bwWZ
Noise as engine starts to settle into idle @ 800 RPM https://*******/Stwa
Noise as engine is in idle @ 600 RPM https://*******/NvyH
The pitch and frequency change with RPMs, I did try a slight rev up to 2k and it did increase in frequency and pitch.
Also noticed when getting down in there that there seems to be a wet spot under what I think is the oil filter. I haven't driven the car today, and it wasn't on for more than two minutes yesterday. Note there is nothing on the ground, just the bottom of the engine bay, kind of looks like oil but can't tell and don't know how long it's been there.

Any advice/information anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. For what it's worth it seems the noise is centralized around the belt area rather than inside the engine, but hard to tell for sure. Also the very small amount of driving I did around the garage, it seemed to be driving just fine. Thanks.

The sound reminds me of a roller element bearing failure. First guess would be the idler pulley is failing.
That doesn't explain the fluid leak though. If you push the car to move it a bit, you might be able to locate it a bit better if it continues to drip.

Turns out it was several problems. The observed leaking fluid was was actually anti-freeze, not oil. There are problems with the coolant pump, and the seal/hose/belt that go along with that, and also an issue with the water pump and it's pulley. There were two relevant TSBs, one on the coolant pump issues, and one on the water pump issues. Both packages are being fully replaced, I have to pay for the new belt/hoses+ associated labor on those since they are not covered by warranty (~$200 total with tax) and everything else is covered under either extended service plan (coolant pump stuff) or power train (water pump stuff) warranties.
Pretty crazy given the relatively low mileage, but people say don't buy new redesigns early in the production cycle...Anyone else who bought an earlier 2011, this could happen to you too, seems to affect cars built prior to the fall of 2010, bought mine in August 2010.
