Default 2011 Water Pump Replacement

Hi All,
just getting ready to do the water pump replacement on my Stang. I understand there is a TSB 14-0212, on this. I called the stealerships and they want $185 for all the parts needed on this TSB.

My question is this

1st. My current water pump is only leaking its not failing, can I just replace the seal and install the new hose they have for the TSB? Or do I have to change out everything to fix this correctly?

2nd. Is there more economic alternatives to the dealership prices (Rock Auto etc..) to get these newer TSB parts? (water pump, Seal, and Hose?)

In short, is the water pump in the TSB a completely new water pump, or it it reworked to accept the new seal (O-ring) and the new hose (runs from the water pump to degas bottle)???

Thx for any help

the pump is replace in the tsb, and the new hose is installed, just buy the kit, $185 isnt that bad especially to prevent it from happening again. tsb parts are only available from the dealer

Here is the Hose # ER3Z-8276-A
Hose at Tasca
http://www.tascaparts.com/ford/musta...omponents-scat
Water pump at Rock Auto was $56.00 or right around there close anyways.
Normally a TSB is only done for free if there is still warranty left, unlike a recall.

I did the "hose" myself before any trouble started, currently 34,000 miles and counting. Dealer charged me $44.00 for the hose, frick!

Alright so went to dealer and got a new water pump, however I think the dealer just gave me the old pump?

I see no differences in the new vs. old, except for a slight routing difference on the metal seal at the top of the pump.

any help would be greatly appreciated...

Thx

Looks as if I need the BRZ3-8501-G water pump.

However what I got in a kit (kit labeled on box # BR3Z-8501) was...

BR3E-8501-NA (# stamped on) water pump... with a gasket on the pump already.

A package labeled BR3Z-8501 with:
Another new gasket in a bag....
a new seal 7T4Z-8590..
and the new hose with the check valve.

Both new gaskets look exactly alike, however, old gasket is slightly different from both new gaskets.

I guess main question here is:

What did Ford change on this TSB? I know they put a check valve into the hose that goes to Degas bottle, but is the water pump significantly changed or just the slight difference that I see in the gasket?

Probably overthinking this whole thing, but I do not want to have to redo this...$$$$ and time.

Thx for any clarification...

One last question, I'm pretty sure that gasket goes on with NO sealant correct?

Thx
