2014 V6 Vert Rattle sound
Hi all, I have a 2014 V6 Convertible, it has a rattle sound which sounds like it's coming from the front end. It kind of sounds like what rubber tipped metal would sound like if it was bouncing against other rubber tipped metal. Especially going over speed bumps or down bad roads or gravel roads. It sounds like a bad strut or something, however... I've taken it in to the dealer twice now, the mechanics have taken it for a test drive and have heard the same thing, both times they push and pull, twist and turn everything they can with the suspension and front end, and nothing is loose, nothing is wore down, all the bushing are good, the second time they took me to the car when it was on the lift and went over the majority of the parts they checked to ensure to me that nothing is loose or worn. So my question is, has anyone else had this issue with a ghost rattle/knocking from the front end and if you have, what resolved the issue? Thanks!

I chased this down on my 07 Mustang wasted money on a lot of parts, and still had the "clunk" Turns out it was the front stabilizer bushings. I don't know if Ford is calling out the wrong bushings or it's just **** poor engineering. I felt the bushing gave some resistance when installing them but not enough for my liking. Put them on and still had the noise. So I made two shims 2x2x3/16 HDPE plastic. Loosen the sway bar and slide the shim behind the swaybar bushings and torque them down. Now go out for a drive and look for bumps. I feel if these bushing were made of rubber instead of poly the sound may have been absorbed. But I'm just a 68 yo wrench head. I am embarressed to say how long I have put up with this clunk
