Replacing the water pump look to be straight forward but I can't find the spec for torque on the bolts. It would be great to get them for the thermostat housing and the water pump if anyone has the them. Thanks.

Pump:
There is also a tightening sequence...
..3 1 5 6
4 2 .. 7

Step 1 - 89 in-lbs
Step 2 - +45 degree turn
Over tightening will damage the pump.

Thermostat Housing:
..1
2 3 4

Step 1 - 71 in-lbs
Step 2 - +45 degree turn

That seem really high for aluminum.

Here is what other told me the service manual has "My Chiltons manual shows 12-18 ftlbs also for the water pump bolt torque.The wp pulley to hub bolt torque is shown as
36-47 ftlbs."

Do you have a picture of the screws numbering? I normal would tighten in cross patterned. Thanks again for the advance. Did you get the torques from a Ford Service manual?

You did notice he posted "in lbs" not "ft lbs".
So if you convert 89 in lbs = about 7.4 ft lbs. , which would make the numbers you posted a bit high.

I did not notice that. Thanks for point that out.

Anybody have a link to show the numbering of bolts? Plus there is video that show using RTV. Should I use RTV on both side of the gasket? When I read the forum I see both yes and no. Thoughts? I tend to use it when there isn't already a rubber seal. In this case the gasket has a rubber seal.

I showed the numbering of the bolts the best I could, the ones on the TOP
and the ones on the bottom, of the pump, and their order. Same with the
thermostat housing. I got that from my Chilton's manual, but here:
