Has anyone swapped an older EFI 5.0 into a 99-04 mustang? Will It even fit? If so, will it pass emissions? I want to drop one in a 99' V6... it'd be sweet to have those extra cubes and not have to spend a bundle for aftermarket performance parts. It'd be even sweeter if i could build a stroked 351 with and upgraded 302 EFI System... Thanks in advance for the help.

if you have to smog test and they are looking for an obd-ii port and you don't have one, they'll know that the engine is too old and that won't pass inspection probably

It can be done and legally. It would cost way more than you probably want to spend. Example..99 Saleen S351..emissions legal. They rewired the car and used a special program. You could probably go out an buy a 03 Cobra for what you would spend to convert your car. I have done the conversion before. Its takes awhile.

My car has a crazy setup around the gas tank that blows cool air around the tank from the passenger compartment that is supposed to keep the fumes down in the tank which in turn lowers emmsions.From what I'm told by saleen that is how it passes emmsions.
