How did you get such good scores? Man, I almost failed, could that be because my timing was turned up?? I have a cobra manifold, and had to turn my timing up a little bit during my last smog test, u think retarding it to around 9 or 10* would make a difference in all of the scores? I'm gonna look for my smog sheet and get back to you to show you how bad my car scored

i have good scores cause i run the stock cam, and for the test, have all my emissions equipment on. plus the car is tuned properly. most people dont think you can make good hp with the stock cam. granted its harder to do but its still possible. hoping to see 450rwhp in 2 weeks when i go to the local dyno shop for their dyno day. still on the stock cam and 1.6 rockers and still will easily pass smog. part of hp comes from a methanol injection kit which only sprays while under boost and since you dont go into boost during the smog test, no meth sprays during the test so it doesnt effect emissions

Well, what do u think about mine? I have a stock cam, stock rockers, stock engine, period. I took the hypertech chip out after the test, maybe that was screwing up my emissions a little bit?
No engine mods, just CAI, 65mm MAF set for 19# inj, a cobra manifold, and around 13-14* of timing, which shouldn't screw up my emmissions too much, right? My engine runs fine and feels strong, feels great actually. I'm wondering why my scores would be so bad.

i've got 82k miles, on a 93, no real oil burning. i run through about 2/3 of a quart every 2k miles. I have no visible oil burnage signs at all. Maybe it was the timing, but could it raise the scores that dramatically?
