Default 1970 mustang 351w heads onto 91 302 HO

I am needing to know what mods, if any, need to be done for me to install a set of '70 351w heads onto my '91 302 HO. The heads are 60 cc, with the large valves. As far as I see all I need to do is install the heads, 351 head bolts, 351 intake, and possible push rods. Is there anything that I have missed. And yes for those that may ask, I am getting rid of the fuel injection and going carbureted (cheaper to go fast carbureted than fuel injected). I am going to experiment from 600 to 750 and see which gives best performance.

You will need the the head bolts spacers, since the 302's use a 7/16th head bolts and the 351's use a 1/2 inch head bolt. Look at summit or jegs. As for the carb, 650 is plenty

U dont need the 351 W intake, the heads are the same just need the bushings to neck down to the 3/8" headbolts. Roller tip rockers will help some but the rail type are a bit expensive. I f u haven't bought heads already, there are aluminum heads out there forthe taking, and much better flow. Push rods will be different length.

Definitely check the pushrod length! I think you'll find you need 302-length pushrods, but check it with a puishrod measuring tool. You DO NOT want a pusshrod that is too long. A dropped valve will be the result and then you can start all over with a new motor.[:@]
