Default 69-70 351W Heads vs. 87-93 302

Hey everone! Newbe to the forum, so if this has been discussed just point me in the right direction. I'm in the process of gathering parts for my 88 notch and I heard that one can use 87-93 head on a 351W and they will be as good as the 69-70 stock head with minor work. I did hear of a guy from Florida, he goes by the screen name The Mad Porter, that has done port work on the newer heads and can make them flow better than the old windsor heads. So any help woud be great.

For the money you will invest in a set of worked iron heads you can buy a set of box stock aluminums that will outflow the ported iron heads.

I know that it would be more bang for the cash, but I'm a fan of old cast power. So I was wondering if any one ran across this person, because the head up I got was that he did some small amount of polishing to the runners and the bowls and the 87-93 head flowed better than some the the after market heads.
