Default carbbed or efi?

not sure which to do, not concerned about gas, but more on cheap power.... im leaning towards cabbed and no ecu of anytype and highrise intake versus efi

doesn't it depend on what he would like to do later? if you go with a turbo efi, otherwise carb.

now hold on i know holley's weren't all that great in the 70's or so but they have came back strong......holley's are so easy to tune now and they have their own bolting up nitrous kits....i would take a holley over a edelbrock or demon anyday.

Can't say much about the Quick Fuel or Blake carbs (which are Holley based anyways), but I have run an Edelbrock and a Holley with vac secondaries (list 3310) and both of those carbs don't even begin to compare to my Double Pumper! I agree with 90mustang5.0[sm=smiley20.gif]. However, since this thread is based on budget, the Eddys are definately cheaper if going brand new(NOT an endorsement). WARNING though... You will get what you pay for when it comes to carburetors.

Go carb'd. My belief comes from my old drill instructor saying K.I.S.S. meaning..Keep It Simple Stupid!
Oh, I personally don't favor Holley carbs. My brother caught his 66 LTD on fire from his holley, also I got my 351w cheap after the guys 66 Fairlane burnt to the ground with 600miles on the rebuild..also after spending $3500 on machine work alone. Also same story with a 73 Charger a friend had with a holley..but that's what happens when you drive Mopar lol
