Default 500hp 351, need clutch info

i'm putting a 500hp 351 with 596 foot pounds of torque in my 1984 svo,
but i'm stuck on what clutch and headers to put in it.also what should i do about motor mounts.
i was thinking about leaving the stock mounts (which are brand new)but weld a 3/8"piece of steel to both sides of the mounts.
any suggestions??

new stock mounts will be ok.
I'm happy with my CenterForce dual friction clutch
happy with my BBK 1 3/4 longtubes also.

Spec Stg 4 clutch if you plan on taking it to the track and running on slicks. If street tires and very little track use a centerforce dual friction or a Spec stg 3 will do fine.

Even in afox body with that much torque it would drive through a stage 2. Stage 2's are for stock cars. Not 500+ rwtq cars. A stage 2 is on par with a motorsports clutch.

For motor mounts run a set of fox body vert mounts or buy a set of drop mounts from someone like Holcomb motorsports or one of the other advertisers in 5.0 magazine.

what kind of crack are you smoking??? My Spec Stage 2 holds strong and is rated for 520ft/lbs. I'v put nitrous launches on it with drag radials and it still holds... the 2+ is rated for 620ft/lbs
