I need help concerning a 408Imbuilding well collecting really. I am ready to buy the rotating assembly. But I need some advise on what comp ratio to run it at. I am not sure about the cam either. This is a weekend warrior street car so it can be a nasty engine. I would like to run it on 93oct and was leaning towards a 11-1 ratio. I have the following dart iron eagle 351 block, dart cnc 225 heads,jesel comp rockers, and a super victor intake. Please help me decide.

What do your combustion chambers measure on your heads? That goes in the way of determining what your finish comp. ratio is going to be. Common ration is 10.5:1, and I run with a guy running non-pump gas running 12:1 naturally aspirated of course. I have stayed below 11:1 and my next project will be a 9:1 blower motor.

Cam selection you would do good in speaking with somebody about a custom grind based on compression ratio, fuel delivery system, if you are going to run an automatic then stall speed plays a part along with rear end ration. A good shop can nail your cam chopice dead nuts.

So depending on pistons you would still be looking at between 9:1 and 10:5:1

Why is that? They dont offer a piston with more of a dome to achieve anything higher than 10.5-1?
