Why not go 408ci's S/C'd? I know I beat that drum a lot.
A N/A 408 if you are sane with mods can be a great dauly car. There is no reason why you cannot have a modest mix of quick and reliable. As far as S/C's the choice is totally up to you. I have been going back and forth with a predicament so far as blowers are concerned. Vortech and ProCharger both make great systems and they are both very flexible, I cannot deny that the Kenne Bell is looking like it might be something I want to venture into.

Plus at this stage I have not totally ruled out the possibility of a large fram turbo either....Decisions

427w, forged crank, rods, pistons with a 8: C/R. A nice free flowing head,AFR 225 or dart ported 190 orRHS 225.Add a dyer's 671-871 blower. With this you have to run a carb setup, so then a prosystems custom carb.

That would be a ncie setup.

There are a kazillion ways to skin this cat.

really for best streetability you could do a 351 with a fairly mild cam
for smooth idle and not waking the neighbors up and boost the hell out
of it and make insane power when you floor it. just my 2 cents.
