Default 351W bottom end

I am underway with a 351W. I have a 94 truck roller block and am starting to try to round up the pieces. I am trying to decide what to buy. I am looking at 9000 series Scat cast crank and I-beam rods. Does anyone have any feedback. Should I go forged crank and H-beam? Maybe the 9000 cast isnt much better than the stock one?
Because I am on a buget, I dont plan on stroking it at this time. Perhaps later. I DO plan on alum heads and forged pistons. I want to make sure I am not cheaping out, but at the same time, dont want to go wild with Forged crank and H-beam if they are not necessary.

any thoughts?

I would go full forged, SCAT 9000 seris is a good product. Are H-beam rods needed? No but neither is a parachute for skydiving....It's just a good recommendation

Just my opinion but I think cast and I-beams are fine...unless. You plan to add turbo(s), supercharger, or use more than a "50 shot" of nitrous. Drag racing...I dunno. Some folks seem to have great luck running "cheap" engines, others seem able to blow up anything. If you plan to hit the dragstrip pretty regularly, go there and ask what the guys with similar setups are getting the best results without spending a zillion dollars.

thx. i sure want to get this motor in ASAP, but dont have the 8 or 10 grand handy just now to go wild. I thought if I can put together a 351 now, with alum heads etc, then down the road I can tear it down again and do the stoker crank. Downside is that i will have to waste a set of rings, bearings, chain set (probably) RODS, and probablyPISTONS too.

If anyone has feedback on what pan, etc works best, that would be great. I am looking at Moroso set up with Trickflow main girdle. Or Ford set up. Anyone know what the differnce in quality/price is on these two? Also, will a windage tray interfer with a main girdle?

You can do what I did run a Stock 94 roller block ,Scat series crank "cast" for $299.99, summit h-beams rods for $499.99, and K.B forged pistons with rings for $450.00.And I will post a pic for you to see also. And BTW the car runs what you see in the sig and Ispin it to 8100RPM every time.

Matt, my inner voice say's that the space shuttle will get hit with the debris from that motor at some point in the future

2blt main, cast crank and 8100rpm looks from the outside to be a disaster waiting to happen.

nice pics. I am also trying to figure out what do buy for a pan. I would like to use Moroso pan and windage tray, using a Melling HV oil pump. My hopes are that I can use both a windage tray AND a main girdle......like a Trickflow. I would also be happier if I could use Ford parts and accomplish this as it would be cheaper than Moroso.
Please let me know what works.
