Default 1969 351w Identification

What is the best way to identify a 1969 351w ?

Dude wants 200 bones for it. Worth it ?

What all should i look for ?

Things to know is how many time has it been bored? Has it been magna-fluxed? And I'm telling you it's worth every bit of 200 clammos if it is legit.
That's a true 700+ horsepower factory block.

if you dont get it i will hit you. no seriously. you can buy it and resale it for more. ESPECIALLY if its std bore

if it is a 69 block check for this


this will help with other blocks in general

Its never been touched, just decked....What exactly is decking a block ?

I just talked to the guy, he said he just took it all apart, but has all the internal. When i saw it was a 69 i startin shakin n shyt....I want it soooo bad. I'll prolly go grab it this friday. I dont care if i dont start building it for a few years, atleast i'll have it.

Is there anything else i should look for ?

Its gonna be kindof hard to tell if a block is cracked......But i doubt that block is cracked, since it has all stock internals and such.....

I bought a std bore 69 351w for $250... so if I were you I would jump all over that deal!

I dont think i can fit a block in my mustang very easily.....

heavy hell yes they are. and i doubt it will fit in the back of the stang. i did have a 96 351w fit in the back of a grand prix. i had both the 69 block and a 302 in the back of my durago.

and yes take a friend the blocks alone are around 200lbs
