Stroker Clearance With Windage Tray?
Couldn't find anywhere if a windage tray (Canton) will interfere with the crank/rods in a 351W stroker (400ci+)? How about clearance with a Ford (Crown Vic) oil pan? I figure if the tray clears the pan will also.
Have ARP main studs for windage tray - they look like they have enough length to add ~ 1/2" spacers to get more clearance between the tray and the rotating assy.
Anyone here know? Trying to figure out before buying an engine kit.
Thanks

RE: Stroker Clearance With Windage Tray?
i have a Moroso tray and Motorsport pan. no problems on a 351 not stroked. You will have to mock it up and if needed get out the grinder or whatever it takes to make it fit. If its MAJOR problem, then consider buying a Canton or Moroso pan. The down side of that is I think those pans are a little deeper. That can cause clearance issues with the ground and also even the K member.
