WHERE TO GET A BLOCK???

RE: WHERE TO GET A BLOCK???
search your phonebook yellowpage section for Wrecker / Tow companies. I've found that when searching for parts cars they have a mildly better quality selection. I found my 1987 LX Mustang for $175 (Body, all windows, 4cyl engine that didnt run, and all 4wheels). I found the 1978 Bronco that the 351w block came out of for $75. The bronco had been cut in half, but all i needed was the block.
Call up the Towing companies in hopes that some piece of crap drunk driver never went back and paid his tow bill...the Towing company would be glad to get their money out of that car ;]

i found out that all the cars and trucks that get in accidents go from the impound lot tothe insurance salvage disposal lot. then they get auctioned off to the auto wreckers. If you get them from the salvage disposal lot, its cheaper than theauto wreckers. You can also then buy a whole truck and get it running even ,before you yank the motor. Best bet is right off's , cuz you know they were running when they got smashed, more than likely.
