Ya it has H beam rods What would timing be set at with a 200 shot and what jets should be in the carb with that im new to the carburated stuff i Think the car was prob a 10.50 .60 car as it set it just didn't have a big enough converter and i also think it wanted a bigger cam it ran a 10.9 in 85 degree weather i couldn't imagine a 200 shot of nitrous

i'am running 22 total timing, mines locked out 22' all the time, exc. for start up , i got a msd dig 6 box. i got a 1000 demon carb on a 408 with victor jr heads, cam is s/roller with 264/276 at .050 lift is .701/.689 i got mine to run 10.0s at a buck 38.
if you got 6.250 rods you got a thicker top land on your pistion than the 6.200 rod ,which is what i got .i would still go 250 with timing set to 20. just run c -16 gas straight. i got 11.7to1 also. i haven't run mine in a year.

So even if my car is still 10.5.1 i should still run racing gas in it

So when im just driving my car around on the street what should my timing be at. The guy i bought the car from said it was advanced and he said it was around 35 does that sound right

your ok at 10.5 to1 but with the nitrous i'd run some c 16 if you dont have cats. or get a separate tank,and pumpsfor the nos system.keep c 16 in it , as for timing 35 is good for all motor , but not with the nitrous you will hurt your motor with that much timing. im running 22 with 200 shot.what type dist you got ? i only run mine once every year or so. i got the msd dig. 6 box that retards youre timing when youre spraying it.

I got an msd distributor and im pritty sure i have a 6al box manybe i should build a turbo kitfor it.I don't know cause i would love for the power to be there all the time. there are so many options

its got to be a msddigital 6 box
as for turbo you got to much compression
id be happy running what youre running right now.
nitrous can hurt your motor , if youre not careful, alway got to be on top of the timing temp outside and bottle pressure,
i hurt many of motors to know what to do and what not to do. i never hurt a motor without nitrous.
things like bent rods.
i got a 94 351w block, with no girdle either running 10.09s 6 times back to back runs. 6 run burnt the clutch disc up.

Chris,i suggest you just get a little 4 banger import because you wouldnt be able to handle that car with nitrous

How much is that 6 box the reason i had said turbo is because i haven't got my pistons so i may get lower compression ones but i know nitrous is cheaper i have the cheater nitrous kit already with 150 through a 250 shot. Id love to have the turbo power always there I just like to get my car down to around 10.50 on motor which i think is very possible what you think i should do so many options....
