Looks like I am stroking the 351w! (408 or 427!!!)
Hey guys,
I found a set of forged pistons, and forged rods from a street fighter engine kit from probe. I talked to the guy and well i am very interested. I will be picking these parts up soon. I need to find a 4" or a 4.170" stroker crank. I have talked to full auto, and a few other dealers on prices. I will be going with either a 408 (4" crank) or a 427 (4.170" crank). The rods are 6.125" and the pistons will give me 10.18 with the 4" or 10.58 compression with the 4.170" crank. I am really stoked for the build now. Off to the machine shop!
I thought i would just let you all know. Since i got a good deal on the pistons ans rods, I will be spending more than what I anticipated on the heads. I am looking into a set of AFR 205 or Twisted Wedge heads. They will be used (I am only 17 and on a "budget") But will be fully checked out before i purchase. I will get some pics when i pick up the parts.

The TFS TW are a bit small for a 408 unless you have them ported the 205 would be better but I think still small. but any would be better then stock.
