Default 351 aftermarket oil pan question

what Oil pans are you guys running in your foxes, I was thinking of getting the Canton #15-670
but my engine guy tells me that for street use i might want to get one with a lesser rear sump depth. at 9 inches he says it might be dangerous to drive on the street expessially with myeibach springs.i noticed milodons pan only is 8 inches deep, but i didn't really want to pay milodon prices. Moroso's pan is also 9 inches deep. does anyone have the canton pan 15-670, and does it stick out below the k member? maybe i should just get the stock 5 quart one from ford. what are the ups and downs to sticking withthe 5 quart pan #FMS-6675?
thanks

you can buy a stock ford one, and its the same pan as the conversion kit pan, its for a 1981 Ford LTD with a 351. Its a dual sump pan, EXACT SAME as the ford racing conversion pan. it costs around$60~$80 depending on the parts store. im not sure if you can buy the pick up tube seperate

you lose teh extra capacity, but if its that big of an issue, you can run some big lines on a remote filter, and get better cooling, and more capacity from it that way.

I just bought the ford swap pan kit from summit. $135 w/pick up and dip stick. part # FMS-M-6675-A58. I was told that it will need to be modified to clear a high flow oil pump. Still gonna be way cheaper than 3-400 bones.
